Michigan authorities are investigating the death of a 2-year-old boy who was hit by a vehicle in the early morning hours after leaving a home. The death prompted the temporary closure of Lake Road and Sunset Road as the investigation was ongoing, and resources were requested from the Michigan State Police. The sheriff's office stated that the child had left a nearby residence and entered a roadway without his family knowing.
