Trump says he will order DHS to 'immediately' pay TSA officers as partial shutdown persists

President Donald Trump has announced that he will order the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to immediately pay the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officers who have been without paychecks during the partial shutdown. This decision comes as the Senate has failed to advance a bill that would fund DHS for a full year. The White House has been discussing ideas to improve airport security conditions, but no plans are currently underway.
