Adam C. Salgado Jr., a 32-year-old West Haven man, has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for receiving and possessing child sex abuse material. He was also sentenced to seven years of supervised release. The case stemmed from a case involving a cloud-based storage company that alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that Salgado had stored videos of child sexual abuse on his account. The prosecution is part of the U.S. Department of Justice's Project Safe Childhood Initiative, which aims to protect children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
