Suffolk corrections officer accused of having child sexual abuse videos of kids

Robert Sorrentino, a 42-year-old corrections officer from the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office, has been arrested for possessing child sexual abuse material. The material was found on his phone and involved children aged 5-13. The FBI tracked the cryptocurrency account used for the material and his address in Ridge was linked to the purchases. If convicted, he faces up to four years in prison. The district attorney, however, stated that current bail reform laws prevent the prosecution from seeking bail in such a case.
