Junior Caminero hit a home run leading off the ninth against closer Seranthony Domínguez, who was unable to command the ball. The Rays' win was the second consecutive loss for the Sox. The White Sox made use of challenges against the Rays, with one pitch initially called a ball but overturned to a strike on a challenge. Everson Pereira, who returned from the injury list, also contributed well against his former team.
