President Donald Trump has reportedly offered to pardon many of his top advisers before he leaves office. This is an expansion from a 10-foot radius he previously mentioned. The announcement was made during a private meeting and follows a trend of around 1,600 pardons issued during his presidency. In 2025, he announced pardons to 1,500 people charged in the attacks on the Capitol and commuted sentences for leaders of the Oath Keepers and Proud Boys. However, a report by the House Judiciary Committee Democratic staff found that at least 33 of the pardoned rioters faced new criminal charges since Jan. 6, 2021.
