A South Florida organization, Feeding South Florida, has launched a food distribution program at the Miami International Airport’s employee parking lot to assist federal employees affected by the ongoing government shutdown. The program includes employees of the Transportation Security Administration, who are working without pay during the shutdown. Volunteers distributed food and other items such as milk, fresh produce, and toiletries.
