Ben Featherstone, a married father of one and traveling singer, has been raising his two-year-old daughter, Piper, on a MSC Cruises ship. Despite the glam lifestyle, Featherstone acknowledges that raising a child on a cruise ship comes with challenges such as limited time together and a lack of space. He and his wife, Sophie, were able to stay with him during the holidays and Piper's second birthday but had to return to the UK after a month, per cruise line rules. Their living arrangements include a double ensuite room with enough floor space to fit a cot bed in for Piper. Despite these challenges, Featherston credits his daughter's freedom to enjoy childhood without borders. He will end his cruise contract with MSC Cruise in March, but hopes for an equally cushy on-the-go gig.
