The Kane County State's Attorney's Office received nine complaints during the March 17 primary election, including electioneering near polling places and alleged campaign sign violations. The office ran an "Election Day Hotline" for voters who may observe or experience voting problems or irregularities. All complaints were resolved successfully by the office's assistant state’s attorneys who also visited each polling place to ensure legal practices. Two callers reported feeling intimidated by a person electioneering outside the campaign-free zone and another complained about voting machines setting up with their display facing inward.
