The fake account, claiming to be that of the NFL wide receiver, posted a question on X, "Is CTE even real?" on the team's X account. The team confirmed this in a statement posted on X. The Buccaneers regularly tagged the account on X for almost a year, following the announcement of EGBuka's selection in the 2025 NFL Draft and a video of Roger Goodell announcing the pick. However, the team had no idea that the fake account was fake and was only tagging the account in June. The @EgbukaEmeka account has now been suspended and likely won't send out any more posts unless the real Egbukr asks for it.
