The first week of free agency for the 2026 NFC NFL season has ended, with the first wave of big names finding new homes. The Vikings earned an A grade for their decision not to replace Kyler Murray with a long-term starter, despite signing only two other players worth $12 million or more. The Falcons' biggest signing was Jahan Dotson on a two-year, $17 million contract, while Carolina made two big signings, including Jaelan Phillips and Devin Lloyd. The Bears primarily addressed defense in free agency, signing safety Coby Bryant and linebacker Devin Bush to three-year deals worth $40 million and $30 million respectively. The Cowboys barely registered a significant addition to safety safety Jaen Thompson, who has only been added to the team for more than $5 million.
