Shirley Wild: Mini horses delight during Autism Day event at Long Beach children’s hospital

The Mini Therapy Horses were introduced to a crowd of young patients and siblings on Autism Day on April 2 at MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women's Hospital in Long Beach. The horses, specially trained by Victoria Nodiff-Netanel, were greeted with warmth and smiles by the audience. The event was part of National Autism Acceptance Day, which aims to promote awareness and understanding of children with special needs. One in 31 children in the US will be diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
