The collapse of a bridge over the River Wharfe in North Yorkshire split a group of crafters, with the aim of decorating the town's historic centre with bunting. The Tadcrafters, now 20 women, have since become a community interest company (CIC) and have taken on creative projects at their monthly meetings at The Barn. They hand-make around 3,000 items a year and donate them to various charities and organisations around the country. The group's founder, Su Morgan, believes that this social activity is a good way to make a difference in their local community. The organization is open to anyone who wishes to participate in and create useful items.
