Highland ag students earn top honors at 2025–26 PAS events

Highland Community College agriculture students have won top honors at two competitions at the Illinois Professional Agricultural Student (PAS) Organization events. The students competed at Illinois State University and Heartland Community college for daylong competitions, which required them to prepare resumes, career planning goal packets, study for exams, and create presentations. Elizabeth Dinderman won first place in the Agricultural Education category, while Jacob Mitchell won first in Plant Systems. Other notable achievements included Alyssa Broge earning second in Food Products and Processing, Justin Myers second in Power, Structural and Technical Systems, and Mika Schoger second in Animal Systems. Many of these students will compete in their award areas at the National PAS Conference in 2026.
