Apple CEO Tim Cook has responded to criticism about his close relationship with President Donald Trump's administration. Cook was one of several tech leaders who attended the inauguration of Trump in 2025 and attended a White House dinner for tech CEOs in 2025. He stated that he is not a political person and focuses on policy, not politics. He also revealed that Apple plans to move more of its manufacturing to the United States, with plans to make over 100 million of these products in Arizona this year and over 20 billion semiconductors in the U.S. Despite previous criticism, Cook estimated that the Trump administration's tariffs would cost Apple over $1 billion in Q3 2025.
