President Trump's claim that he had spoken with a former president who regretted not attacking Iran has reignited speculation about who it was. All living ex-presidents of the previous 47 years have denied any contact with Trump. Taken at face value, these options include Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Joe Biden. The president's statement also indicated that he liked the former president. However, when asked for a name, Trump declined to confirm it was Clinton. This comes amid accusations of President Barack Obama's involvement in efforts to undermine his presidency.
