Amazon has hired Oliver Jones, former Apple executive, to be Senior Commissioner for UK Scripted. Jones, who has worked at Apple for six years, will start in May and will relocate from LA back to London. He will oversee English-language international event series, non-English language originals, co-productions, and acquisitions. Jones will report to UK scripted commissioners Gemma Brandler and Punit Mattoo. The move was announced by Nicole Clemens, VP, International Originals, and reflects Amazon's continued investment in UK scripted programming.
