The Lincolnwood Village Board has approved a Pre-Development Agreement for the Lincolnwood Town Center, which includes a conceptual master plan for the redevelopment. The agreement does not require approval for the development or any of the zoning or economic relief requested. It is expected that the development, if designed, planned, and constructed appropriately, could generate a net fiscal and economic benefit to both the community and region. The phased demolition of the town center is set to begin in May, with the building most recently known as Harlem Furniture, located on the southeast side closest to McCormick Boulevard, being the first phase of the demolition process.
