After opening day thud, Jacob deGrom can reset tone to start of Rangers’ season

The Rangers lost 5-3 to the Phillies on opening day of their season, with a lacklustre performance against Cristopher Sanchez, the NL's Cy Young runner-up last year. The Rangers' loss exposed the team's poor performance at Citizens Bank Park, with no hits, no walks, and no scoreless innings. The team's next game will be against the Phillies, with Jacob deGrom set to start Saturday against Nathan Eovaldi. Despite this setback, the Rangers' hopes for the season are high, with the team having been one of the game’s best pitchers over the last decade. Despite a long injury history, there is still a strong case for deGom for the Hall of Fame.
