Akron will face Texas Tech in first-round of NCAA Tournament

After winning their third consecutive MAC Championship, Akron University will face 5-seed Texas Tech in the first-round of the NCAA Tournament. The team is the first time they have achieved this, becoming the first to do so. The Zips defeated Toledo 79-76. They also secured an automatic bid to the tournament.
