Apple is expanding its US manufacturing program by partnering with four companies including Bosch, Cirrus Logic, TDK and Qnity Electronics. This is part of a $600 billion commitment that Apple plans to add jobs and new factory production across 10 states over the next four years. The partnerships align with Apple's commitment to shifting some of its manufacturing away from China and making more of its products in the US. However, it is difficult to manufacture a product like an iPhone in the United States due to high labor and production costs and an insufficient integrated supply chain.
