High costs and limited insurance coverage make it difficult for many people seeking to build families. Surrogacy compensation through an agency costs between $30,000 and $65,000. Additional costs include agency fees, legal representation, IVF and other medical expenses. Despite improvements in coverage, employers have reported a 39% increase in adoption or surrogacy benefits year over year.
