Danny Smiechowski, a 72-year-old San Diego man who was an outcast due to his preference for wearing only yellow briefs, found his Nudist Haven in the HBO/A24 series, Neighbors. The series, which focuses on local disputes within local communities, follows him from California to Florida nudist community where he finds comfort and feels good inside. Despite initially being outcast in his San Diego neighborhood, he found success in the show and moved on to live in a nudist lifestyle. Once in the community, he credits the liberation of his skin to the people who were abusing him. Despite initial rejection from his neighbors, Smieachowski now feels happy and less self-centered.
