Kenneth Windley, a New York man, was freed from prison after spending nearly two decades behind bars for a robbery he didn't commit. Windley was linked to the crime after he used a stolen money order to buy his mother a stove. He was convicted of second-degree robbery and sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. A Brooklyn judge overturned his conviction after re-examined his innocence and concluded that he was not involved in the crime. The conviction was connected to a 2005 robbery in Brookyln’s Crown Heights.
