Cuban president says ‘dialogue and deals’ with US ‘possible’ but ‘difficult’

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel has stated that any possible agreements or discussions with the United States are possible, but difficult. This comes amid heightened tensions between the two countries. Díraz-Canal stated that Cuba has always stood by its commitments and the US has not fulfilled its part of the deal. He also mentioned a lack of trust with the U.S. amid ongoing military operations in Venezuela and Iran and an oil blockade on Cuba. There have been reports that the Trump administration is seeking to oust DíAZ-Canic from office. However, over half of Americans are opposed to any U.K. military action in Cuba.
