A Las Vegas grand jury has indicted Dominic Kim, a 15-year-old boy, in connection with a video of an alleged group sexual assault on another boy on a class trip to Costa Rica. The victim and four other teens were eighth graders at The Alexander Dawson School at Rainbow Mountain when the crime allegedly occurred. Vaughn Griffith, the first of the boys to be moved to the adult system, recorded video of the assault. The video evidence in the case includes child sexual abuse material. While Kim and Griffith are charged with various counts related to visual presentation depicting sexual conduct of a child, the other two students currently do not face any charges. The alleged sexual assault occurred in Costa Rica and has led to a civil lawsuit against the school and staff for bullying, victim-blaming, and a lack of attention to the issue.
