New ad blitz shows how tariffs hurt small businesses

A month-long campaign by Small Businesses Against Tariffs aims to raise awareness about the impact of tariffs on small businesses. The campaign will be launched in cities such as Atlanta, Chicago, Detroit, Nashville, and Newark. According to surveys by the Council on Foreign Relations, two-in-five Americans mistakenly believe a tariff is paid by a foreign country. The group behind the campaign is trying to clarify this, spending six figures on the project. The Supreme Court recently ruled most of President Trump's tariff agenda illegal, but companies and consumers have already paid hundreds of millions to cover the fees.
