The third consecutive year businesses in downtown Liberty, including local businesses, hosted the annual chocolate walk. The event, which involves 22 businesses, was sold out with about 300 people signing up for the event. Visitors received a special passport card and made their way through downtown, stopping at each location for treats. The walk was designed to bring foot traffic into locally owned shops and showcase what they offer. The Liberty Downtown Association supports these events throughout the year to support small businesses. Shoppers said the event was a fun way to support the community while discovering new stores. Organizers say events like this help highlight local businesses in a unique way to connect with customers and showcase new products.
