'It's just heartbreaking': Omaha nonprofit announces layoffs

Omaha nonprofit, No More Empty Pots, has announced layoffs affecting over half of its employees due to a budget review. The decision was made after a detailed review of the organization's structure and budget. The nonprofit, which focuses on food insecurity in the metro, plans to teach families how to sustain their own food. 22 employees, including the founder, were reportedly laid off. The restructure included letting go more than half of the employees. The changes to facilities and service model will result in changes to our staffing model, facilities, and service.
