Criminal charges are being brought against 26-year-old Mitch Kloter, the proprietor of the Coventry Transportation and Rentals company, in central Connecticut and on the shoreline and in Hartford County. Charges stem from a complaint lodged by a 75-year woman complaining about a botched airport trip where an Uber driver showed up at her pickup location instead of Kloter. A second warrant was brought out charging him with violating a contract out of Tolland for a limousine round trip to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York, costing the group $1,158.50. The Better Business Bureau Serving Connecticut reported a Scam Tracker report regarding transportation services provided by Kloter and Eastern Transportation and Renals. Despite Kloter claiming that Eastern Transportation & Rentals is licensed with the State of Connecticut, the CT Department of Transportation's Licensing and Compliance Unit indicated that the company does not have any permits or licenses on file.
