The shooting occurred about 8 p.m. on Monday night, with several 911 calls reporting shots fired near El Mirage Road on Dryfus Drive, south of Thunderbird Road. Evans' family believes that the shooter was the shooter. No arrests have been made, but police believe there is no ongoing threat to the public.
