Trump's Fed pick clears a major hurdle

The Senate Banking Committee has advanced Kevin Warsh's nomination to replace Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell. This decision was made after Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina expressed opposition to the DOJ's investigation into Powell's overbudget construction project. Warsh is expected to be confirmed in a simple vote on the Senate floor.
