Marquis Williams, a teaching assistant at Drew Central High School and a part-time McDonald’s employee, went missing six years ago in Monticello, Arkansas. His disappearance was a shock to Lakisha Williams, who organized a search for him for nearly a month. His body was found in a creek near Wilmar, Arkansas in March 2020. The official autopsy report indicates that Marquis' only gunshot wound was from a head wound. No arrests have been made in the case, but sheriff Mark Gober stated that there had been persons of interest. Despite a six-year anniversary of Marquis's disappearance, the case has not been resolved. The Arkansas State Police denied a request to take over the case due to the length of time it had been since Marquis’ disappearance.
