The potential for severe weather in the St. Louis area is expected to occur throughout the evening into the night, with rain and thunderstorms expected to become severe. The greatest risk is in Pike County and Green County, which is in a Level 3 (out of 5) risk, with potential for tennis ball-sized hail, winds between 60 to 70 mph, and a few strong tornadoes in the EF-2 to EF-3 range. Another system will move to Metro St.Louis, which sits in a level 2 (out-of-5) risk for the weather. While many areas will see storms, isolated spots may be impacted by severe weather.
