A police officer was allegedly kidnapped by the getaway driver during an alleged armed robbery in California. The incident occurred at a FoodMaxx grocery store in Antioch on Feb. 20. The officer, Travis Donaldson, threatened to shoot the driver unless he stopped the vehicle and after he refused to stop, he shot him. The driver, Dominick DeSouza, fled the scene with non-life-threatening injuries and has been charged with kidnapping, robbery, assault with a deadly weapon upon a peace officer, two counts of burglary, grand theft, and unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle.
