Australian rugby league chief, Andrew Abdo, has dismissed concerns that a multi-million pound investment into Super League could drain talent from the game in the UK. Abdo insists that the National Rugby League (NRL) is aiming to make rugby league in UK and Europe as strong as possible and is seeking a partnership with Super League, rather than a takeover. Leeds Rhinos chairman Paul Caddick has raised concerns about the potential investment, stating that if Australia removes value from the English game, it will make it subservient to them.
