Fargo Davies girls basketball team won its first state championship two years ago, beating Bismarck 64-55. Fallon Passanante, Quinn Skari, Carter Ford and Sierra Reinke are the four holdovers from that team who are still with the program this season. The Division AA state tournament returns to Bismartck this week, with a Davies team aiming to repeat its success. The team is currently leading the East Region with a 21-3 record and holds the best scoring defense in the state, allowing an average of just 48 points per game. The 2026 state tournament will begin against Bismarcck Legacy in the quarterfinals.
