The daily freight rates of liquefied natural gas (LNG) have surged by over 40% due to the ongoing U.S. and Israeli strikes on Iran, which have caused significant disruption to global markets. LNG rates rose to $61,500/day on Monday, up 43% or $18,750 from the previous day, according to Spark Commodities. The conflict has also impacted tanker traffic through the Strait of Hormuz.
