The Portland Panorama Film Festival, set to return for its second year, features 120-plus films, a live 16mm projection and a music showcase. The 11-day program includes a mix of global and local filmmaking, with selections from Sundance premieres to music videos. Executive Director Stephanie Hough believes the festival was born after significant changes to Portland's cinema landscape left something missing. She believes that the need for an international festival featuring local artists was met with a dedication to community, experimentation and a filmmaker-first approach. Panorama's lineup is driven by curiosity about other cultures, perspectives and ways of telling stories. The festival's opening night is set to set the tone for the festival.
