West Orange Filmmakers Promote Disability Inclusion With ‘Hyper Inattentive’

The short film "Hyper Inattentive" is being produced by Sam Nieves, a West Orange High School alum, Ali Hardy, and Mattie Cameron Rosen, and directed by Dante Leach. The film is about a young woman with ADHD who suddenly becomes the guardian of her sister, when their parent disappears on a bender. The story follows the struggle of a young girl and her family to keep them together while her sister's elaborate pillow fort inspires her to embrace her neurodivergent identity. The short is part of the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, which aims to raise awareness, showcase creative talent and reframe the narrative around disability in the entertainment industries.
