The Boston Red Sox has fired Manager Alex Cora, along with five members of the coaching staff. The club also reassigned Game Planning and Run Prevention Coach Jason Varitek to a new role within the organization. The interim manager will be Chad Tracy, who has served as Manager of Triple-A Worcester since 2022 and previously worked in the Los Angeles Angels system. Other members of staff include Hitting Coach Peter Fatse, Third Base Coach Kyle Hudson, Bench Coach Ramón Vázquez, Assistant Hitting Coacher Dillon Lawson, and Major League Hitting Strategy Coach Joe Cronin.
