Boston-based healthcare worker Elie Assi used "the old-fashioned way" of cleaning his clothes in a bathtub after his building's washing machine broke for several days. He recorded a video of himself doing this using this method and posted it to TikTok, where it has received over 11 million views and over 6,000 comments. Assi attributes this idea to old traditions in his home country, where he believes it represents a valuable use of technology to solve problems. He also mentioned that he might start washing clothes this way.
