American Zoo Latest Beneficiary Of China’s ‘Panda Diplomacy’

A pair of giant pandas will be relocated to America from China as part of a ten-year agreement with the China Wildlife Conservation Association. The male and female animals will be housed at Zoo Atlanta, becoming the third zoo in the United States to house them. The announcement comes ahead of President Donald Trump's visit to Beijing, where he will meet with China's President Xi Jinping. The zoo is currently working on facility upgrades and preparation work for the arrival of the pandas.
