The cold weather continues to increase the threat of wildfires across the United States. Gusts of over 20 mph are making it difficult for firefighters in the Mountains and keeping fire risk high around Charlotte. Temperatures are expected to return to the 80s, but significant rain is unlikely until Friday or the weekend.
