The 'Cooking For A Cure' Fundraiser, held at the Crescent Beach Club in Bayville, New Jersey, will raise funds for the Diabetes Research Institute Foundation (DRIF) and for its work in cure and prevention-focused diabetes research. The event will be held on April 22 and aims to end and prevent Type 1 Diabetes. The father, Jaime Greenberg, has been outspoken about his passion for ending diabetes and supporting the DRIF. His son, Sean, now 21, is able to continue playing hockey and live his life with the assistance of a continuous glucose monitor pump and maintaining healthy nutritional habits.
