The Tuscaloosa VA Medical Center is hosting National Drug Take Back Day, urging residents to clean out their medicine cabinets. The initiative, organized by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and its partners, will take place on Saturday, April 25. The day is also offered as a safe way to dispose of expired, unused or unwanted prescription medications, which often become a gateway to addiction or an accidental overdose.
