Nevada lieutenant governor fined for using public resources to promote task force

Nevada Lt. Gov. Stavros Anthony has been fined $3,000 for violating state ethics law by using public resources to promote a 2025 task force he spearheaded to prevent transgender women and girls from participating in women’s sports. The State of Nevada Commission on Ethics also ordered Anthony to undergo ethics training and his office to create a social media policy. The commission ruled that Anthony willfully violated the state’�s ethics law for using state time, government social media accounts, official letterhead and his own office’’S seal in support of his private social media. Anthony was cleared of allegations that he willfully used government resources for his private interest.
