The Earth Day Clean Up, Beautification Event will take place at Mianus River Park in Greenwich on April 18. Volunteers will participate in various environmental stewardship projects throughout the day. These include planting trees and native species along key areas of the trails, removing invasive winged euonymus species to restore native habitats and cleaning debris. The parks department will provide tools such as shovels, hand shears, rakes and garbage bags. The event has become a tradition for the Greenwich community.
