This comment was removed from the record and prompted the judge to direct Musk to respond to specific questions. During cross-examination, OpenAI's lawyer William Savitt challenged Musk on a term sheet document outlining the company's corporate founding, which Musk alleges betrayed its altruistic mission in pursuit of profit. Musk is seeking $180 billion in damages from OpenAI and Microsoft, pledging to donate any proceeds from a court victory to OpenAI’s charitable arm.
