A felony warrant suspect, Joseph Wheatley, was arrested following a police pursuit and crash in Sun Valley, Nevada. Wheatley is accused of evading, assault with a Deadly Weapon with Elderly Enhancement, Driver Disobeying a Peace Officer, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving without a valid Driver’s License, Duty to Stop at the Scene of an Accident with Vehicle/Property Damage and Open Alcohol Container in a Vehicle. One deputy and one detective were injured during the incident, both being treated at Renown Regional Medical Center and the Northern Nevada Drug Task Force.
